Feb 03, 2006 · 321 stainless is basically an 18/8 stainless like 304 with a small addition of titanium. 304 has similar corrosion resistance qualities to 321, but 321 has superior mechanical properties at elevated temperatures compared to 304. RECOMMENDATION: Use 304L, 316L, or 347 stainless steels for your brazing applications rather than 321.
